Orient Nine Teahouse & Restaurant in Desa Singaraja-Denpasar offers a straightforward dining experience oriented around Japanese cuisine, nestled in a quiet corner of Pancasari. While the venue has undergone some renovation, the overall atmosphere remains cozy and inviting, making it suitable for small groups or casual meals after a day exploring Bali’s less tourist-trodden northern region.

The location near a golf course adds a calm, green backdrop, which pairs well with relaxed dining. It’s a spot that locals and travelers alike might appreciate for a late lunch or early dinner when seeking a quieter setting away from the usual bustle. Service tends to be attentive, with meals coming out promptly even for larger groups, which helps keep the dining flow comfortable rather than rushed.

The food clearly appeals to those looking for authentic Japanese flavors without venturing into larger cities for quality. Dishes like karaage, udon, tempura, and katsu curry receive consistent mention for taste and execution, suggesting the kitchen focuses on familiar favorites done well. This makes Orient Nine a practical choice for those craving solid Japanese fare in the Buleleng area rather than fine dining or fusion experimentation.

Visitors should expect a no-frills, homey environment where the background music and seating arrangements support casual conversation. Renovations hint at a place evolving to enhance the experience but without losing the approachable feel that draws groups and solo diners in equal measure.

Best for: Casual Japanese dining with a group or family, especially after activities nearby like golfing or visiting local points of interest.

Who will enjoy it most: Fans of straightforward Japanese dishes who favor substance over style and appreciate prompt service.

Best time to visit: Early evenings or weekends when the restaurant is likely less busy but still lively enough to enjoy a relaxed meal.

Atmosphere: Cozy and calm with a practical layout, making it comfortable for both small gatherings and solo diners looking to unwind.

We were a bit hesitant because of the low rating, but overall had a really pleasant experience. The restaurant isn’t the best one in my life, but definitely deserves more credit. We were a group of 8 and received our meals within 15–20 minutes, which was impressive. The atmosphere was cozy, the music was nice, and the service was excellent. The food was tasty — especially the main dishes. All in all, we enjoyed our dinner. Thank you to the team!

Restaurant under renovation so can't say anything about the atmosphere but the food was great. The karaage was delicious, and the only one we've tasted outside of Japan that felt so authentic. The udon and tempura is a must. Delicious and can recommend.

An absolute gem of a restaurant, overlooking their beautiful golf course. Food was some of the best in the entire Munduk area. Would have eaten here daily if we were closer. The katsu curry was executed perfectly, and service was on point. Highly recommend.
